A shocking case takes an unexpected turn: Muskan Rastogi, the woman accused of a gruesome murder, has given birth to a baby girl. This story, filled with tragedy and controversy, continues to unfold. Authorities at Meerut's Lala Lajpat Rai Memorial Medical College announced on Monday that Muskan, currently incarcerated for the murder of her husband, Saurabh Rajput, delivered a healthy baby girl.
Dr. Viresh Raj Sharma, a senior jail superintendent, confirmed that Muskan was admitted to the hospital late Sunday night due to intensified labor pains. Dr. Shakun Singh, head of the Obstetrics Department, reported that the newborn weighed 2.4 kg and was delivered naturally. Both mother and child are reportedly in good health. While Muskan's family has been notified, no relatives have visited her at the hospital.
The hospital administration has stated that Muskan's condition remained stable throughout the day, under constant monitoring. Due to the sensitive nature of the case, police presence has been significantly increased around emergency areas and wards. Muskan is accused of murdering her husband, Saurabh, on the night of March 4th at their home in Indiranagar, Meerut, allegedly with the help of her lover, Sahil Shukla. The police claim the pair drugged Saurabh before stabbing him to death. They then allegedly dismembered the body, severing his head and hands, and hid the remains in a blue drum filled with cement. Investigators revealed that Muskan had allegedly been planning the murder since November 2023. Police stated that the motive was not related to tantra-mantra, but because Saurabh was an obstacle in their love affair. After the murder, Muskan and Sahil fled to Himachal Pradesh and were arrested on March 18th. Police sources indicate that Muskan confessed to her family before her arrest. Initially, the pair had planned to pack the body in a suitcase and dispose of it, but a piece of bone was later found in the suitcase.
